Due to complex interactions, changes in any one area of food systems are likely to impact-and possibly depend on-changes in other areas. Here we present the first annual monitoring update of the indicator framework proposed by the Food Systems Countdown Initiative, with new qualitative analysis elucidating interactions across indicators. Since 2000, we find that 20 of 42 indicators with time series have been trending in a desirable direction, indicating modest positive change.

Purpose: We conducted this study to assess cannabis use rates in the state of Kentucky relative to socioeconomic, demographic, and geographic factors, as well as reasons for use and modes of use, before the legal medical marijuana market commences in 2025.

Methods: We pooled Kentucky Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) data for 2020-2021 and used weighted responses for all analyses. We estimated current cannabis use (at least once in the past 30 days), and heavy use (at least 20 of the past 30 days) prevalence rates for Appalachian, Delta, and Central geographic regions of Kentucky.

Introduction: Total hip arthroplasty (THA) for displaced intracapsular hip fracture is increasingly common. The aim of this project was to determine all-cause mortality rates, rates of significant complications and functional outcomes following THA for fractures.

Methods: An inpatient database search identified all patients undergoing THA for displaced intracapsular fracture in Northern Ireland's regional trauma centre from 2010-2017.
