The COVID-19 pandemic has created a public health emergency in Russia and across the world. The wavelike spread of the new coronavirus infection, caused by newly emerging variants of the coronavirus, has led to a high incidence rate in all subjects of the Russian Federation. It is becoming extremely topical to get the opportunity to manage the development of the epidemic and assess the impact of certain regulatory measures on this process.

The culture of Streptomyces felleus VIZP 8 producing new macrolide antibiotic alirinomycin C was isolated in the screening of new insecticide substances. Antibiotic was related to the carbomycin-cirramycin group. Physico-chemical and biological properties investigation and identification were performed in comparison with other antibiotics of the same group, described in literature.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIntensive pulmonary tuberculosis treatment was performed in 65 patients with this disease concurrent with diabetes according to the WHO recommendations. Among them there were 44 new cases and 21 cases with relapse. Comparing the hepatic functional parameters before the first intensive stage of treatment and after its termination (following 2-3 months) showed a regular and statistically significant increase in the activity of aminotransferases and a clear tendency for increases in the values of total bilirubin and thymol tests.
