This study uses Earth observation data to measure illegal activities and investigates possible relationships with local governments. We have collected satellite images, digital maps, and geospatial data for over a decade to detect potential illegal constructions in protected burned forest areas in Sardinia, Italy. We create a database of buildings erected in these protected areas and connect it to administrative data on local election results.

Recently, an increase in the number of patients with severe aortic stenosis eligible for transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has been observed worldwide. In order to reduce waiting lists, provide to all patients referred to us equal access to care and to further improve the collaboration with spoke centers, we developed a specific Hub & Spoke specific protocol for TAVI. According to our protocol, a clinical selection (with echo and computed tomography scan) is done by Spoke centers, the case is discussed with a multidisciplinary team online and the procedure is planned (access, valve type size).

Objective: The aim of the study was to assess the survival rates and surgery-related toxicity in patients with locally advanced squamous cell vulvar cancer (LAVC) managed by upfront chemoradiation (CRT) with/without following by surgery. CRT is the primary treatment for patients with unresectable locally advanced squamous cell vulvar carcinoma (LAVC), followed by surgery in case of residual tumor.

Methods: Patients with AJCC stage II-IV squamous cell vulvar carcinoma referred to Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli I.
