Prenatal diagnosis and postnatal outcome of fetal congenital knee dislocation: systematic review of literature.

Objectives: Congenital knee dislocation (CKD) is a rare condition, affecting 1 in 100 000 newborns. Its prenatal diagnosis is challenging and not well described in the literature, especially when it appears isolated and not as part of a complex malformation or syndromic pattern. The purpose of this study was to provide a comprehensive review of the available literature on the prenatal diagnosis and postnatal outcome of CKD and to summarize the current evidence on this topic.

[Sarcomatous degeneration in Paget disease of bone. Apropos of a clinical case].

Sarcomatous degeneration is the most dreaded complication of Paget's disease of bone: this case report offers an opportunity for underlining the difficulties of differential diagnosis in a case of pulmonary metastatization in the presence of osteitis deformans. Immunohistochemical assay applied to the cytology of pulmonary needle-aspiration and surgical biopsy targeted to the suspected neoplastic lesion allowed correct diagnosis. This case confirms the very poor prognosis of this kind of neoplasm: the rapidity of the fatal outcome was not significantly influenced even by the most aggressive polychemotherapy.

One of the models of colon carcinogenesis in rats is produced by s.c. injections of 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH).
