According to the classic classification systems, a replaced right hepatic artery typically originates from the superior mesenteric artery, supplying blood to the right liver lobe in the absence of the right branch of the proper hepatic artery. Methods: We included 155 patients operated for CRC between 2017 and 2023.
Introduction: Surgery for colorectal cancer (CRC) is not risk-free; therefore, preoperative evaluation must be done to predict and prevent surgical complications. Sarcopenia, a loss of muscle mass and function, was shown to be associated with surgical complications. Our study evaluates the effects of sarcopenia on short-term patient outcomes after CRC resection.

Methods: We performed a retrospective study on all patients having COVID-19 infection and admitted to our institution between March 2020 and June 2021. Inclusion criteria included any patient over the age of 18 admitted to our institution's COVID-19 unit, or intensive care unit, with a positive COVID-19 PCR or positive COVID-19 serology (IgM).
Results: 192 patients met the inclusion criteria, with an average age of 62.
