This study introduces an innovative surgical approach for total knee arthroplasty (TKA) that combines kinematic alignment (KA) principles with real-time elongation of the knee ligaments through the range of motion, using augmented reality (AR). The novelty of the surgical technique lies in the possibility of enhancing the decision-making process to perform the cut on the tibia as for the KA caliper technique developed by Dr. Stephen Howell.

A computed tomography angiography was used to analyze the vascularization patterns of the periacetabular region, describing for the first time "in vivo" the periacetabular branches of the superior and inferior gluteal artery, obturator artery, and of the medial circumflex femoral artery. The analysis revealed the possibility of visualizing clearly all the previously described vessels of the aforementioned arteries.

Various electrolytes, such as calcium and hydrogen ions, potassium, and sodium, as well as other osmotic substances, affect the swelling of mitochondria. Intracellular glucose levels may also affect mitochondrial swelling, although the relationship between mitochondrial ion homeostasis and intracellular glucose is poorly understood.

Both modular and non-modular tapered fluted titanium (TFT) stems could be used in total hip revisions (THRs). Nevertheless, the most appropriate femoral stem type is still under debate.
