In recent years, foliar applications of nanoparticles are increasingly being employed in agricultural fields as fertilizers to enhance crop yields. However, limited studies are available on the foliar uptake of nanoscale nutrients and their interaction with plants. In this study, we reported the effects of foliar spray with varied concentrations of nanoscale silica (N-SiO) and bulk tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS at 2000 ppm) on the growth and yield of groundnut.

SRL is a cell wall associated developmental-stage specific lectin secreted by Sclerotium rolfsii, a soil-born pathogenic fungus. SRL displays specificity for TF antigen (Galβ1→3GalNAc-α-Ser//Thr) expressed in all cancer types and has tumour suppressing effects in vivo. Considering the immense potential of SRL in cancer research, we have generated two variant gene constructs of SRL and expressed in E.

Bioconversion of sugar and distillery industrial wastes with other biodegradables into enriched compost is an important possibility in need of research. In this paper, changes in temperature and physico-chemical (pH, NH4+-N, C/N ratio, CEC) parameters during windrow composting, related to biological stabilization of the compost, were studied. The rise in temperature, which occurred as composting progressed, was accompanied by an increase in NH4+-N and the passage of the thermophilic phase to mesophilic took place between 90 and 105 days.
