Sprengel's Deformity (SD) is a rare condition of the shoulder girdle, appearing as the principal congenital anomaly of the shoulder in paediatric patients. The aim of this study is to document the combined experience of two paediatric orthopaedic departments in managing SD using the modified Green Procedure, with a specific emphasis on the clinical and functional outcomes reported by patients; Methods: from June 2010 to February 2023, 42 shoulders in 40 paediatric patients were surgically treated for SD at two paediatric orthopaedic departments. All patients were treated using the modified Green Procedure with or without clavicle osteotomy.

: Femoral neck fractures are rare but serious injuries in children and adolescents, often resulting from high-energy trauma and prone to complications like avascular necrosis (AVN) and nonunion. Even rarer is the development of slipped capital femoral epiphysis (SCFE) following femoral neck fracture, which presents unique diagnostic and treatment challenges. SCFE can destabilize the femoral head, with severe cases requiring complex surgical interventions.

Ankle fractures are common injuries and post-operative protocols continue to vary. We aim to compare postoperative complications between early weight bearing (EWB), intermediate weight bearing (IWB), and delayed weight bearing (DWB) in adult patients with isolated ankle fractures treated with open reduction internal fixation (ORIF). This retrospective cohort study includes 233 adult patients with isolated (medial malleolar, lateral malleolar, posterior malleolar, bimalleolar equivalent) or complex (trimalleolar, trimalleolar equivalent, bimalleolar, and Maisonneuve) ankle fractures treated with ORIF between 2020 and 2022 at a level I trauma center.

Background: Fibrous dysplasia (FD) is a rare condition in which normal spongy and cortical bone is replaced by non-neoplastic fibrous tissue, leading to weakened bone matrix and increased risk of pathological fractures and deformities. Treating these deformities poses a significant challenge for surgeons. While various cases of surgical stabilization and limb lengthening using intramedullary nails have been reported, there is limited evidence on the use of Motorized Intramedullary Limb-Lengthening Nails (MILLNs) in FD patients.

Background: Exophytic tumors of the calvaria (ETCs) remain a challenging pathology because of their complex management. The authors discuss the case of a woman with a large exophytic mass of the right frontotemporal region and underline their decision-making process on the management of this unique case and possible similar ones.

Observations: Neuroradiological findings showed a calvarial tumor with both epicranial and intracranial extension involving the frontotemporal bone with a mixed component (lytic and sclerotic) and dural infiltration with a pseudonodular pattern.
