Objective: This systematic review aimed to evaluate the current evidence regarding the impact of postbiotics on dental caries, focusing on the effectiveness of postbiotic interventions in caries prevention, mechanisms of action, optimal dosages, and administration protocols.
Methods: A literature search was conducted across PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library. Eligible studies included randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental, observational, and in vitro studies.
Wood density is a critical control on tree biomass, so poor understanding of its spatial variation can lead to large and systematic errors in forest biomass estimates and carbon maps. The need to understand how and why wood density varies is especially critical in tropical America where forests have exceptional species diversity and spatial turnover in composition. As tree identity and forest composition are challenging to estimate remotely, ground surveys are essential to know the wood density of trees, whether measured directly or inferred from their identity.

Wearable cameras provide an objective method to visually confirm and automate the detection of health-risk behaviors such as smoking and overeating, which is critical for developing and testing adaptive treatment interventions. Despite the potential of wearable camera systems, adoption is hindered by inadequate clinician input in the design, user privacy concerns, and user burden. To address these barriers, we introduced HabitSense, an open-source, multi-modal neck-worn platform developed with input from focus groups with clinicians (N=36) and user feedback from in-wild studies involving 105 participants over 35 days.

The green dwarf coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) has an extreme economic importance in Brazil, especially in the state of Pará, the third largest national producer. The phenological aspects of these plants can undergo changes according to the environment to which they are subjected, so the objective was to determine the basal temperatures, quantify the duration of the reproductive phase and verify the effect of climatic seasonality on the thermal accumulation of the green dwarf coconut tree, in the northeast region of Pará, Brazil.

The exposome is considered an assessment of environmental exposure and associated biological responses over an individual's lifetime. Endocrine disruptors chemicals (EDCs), an important component of such exposures, exert adverse effects on human health. The kidneys are targets for EDCs because of their characteristic of bioaccumulation.
