The objective of this study was to characterize hemodynamic changes during trans-vascular stimulation of the renal nerve and their dependence on stimulation parameters. We employed a stimulation catheter inserted in the right renal artery under fluoroscopic guidance, in pigs. Systolic, diastolic and pulse blood pressure and heart rate were recorded during stimulations delivered at different intravascular sites along the renal artery or while varying stimulation parameters (amplitude, frequency, and pulse width).

Methods: healthy residents of the Sachkhere district were examined. In the blood serum samples of patients, the cytokines (IL-1α, IL-10, TGF-β, IL-12, IL-17, TNF-α, IL-6) and NOx content, as well as the total antioxidant activity of the non-enzymatic system (TAA) were determined; using light microscopy, buccal micronuclei (MnB) of epithelial cells of the oral mucosa, as indicators of chromosomal disorders, were studied.
Protein pool turnover is a critically important cellular homeostatic component, yet it has been little explored in the context of heart failure (HF) pathophysiology. We used in vivo H labeling/proteome dynamics for the nonbiased discovery of turnover alterations involving functionally linked cardiac and plasma proteins in canine tachypacing-induced HF, an established preclinical model of dilated cardiomyopathy. Compared with controls, dogs with congestive HF displayed bidirectional turnover changes of 28 cardiac proteins, that is, a reduced half-life of several key enzymes involved in glycolysis, homocysteine metabolism and glycogenesis, and increased half-life of proteins involved in proteolysis.

Galectins are implicated in prostate malignat transformation. It is not known yet if prostate glands with different grade of pathologies are expressing different galectins and if these galectins express different effects on the cell viability.

It provokes cellular metabolism changes, including a reduction in energy production and downregulation of anabolic reaction. Considering the importance of those processes, it is crucial discovering the substances that can prevent those stress-induced alterations.
