Resveratrol (RES), a natural compound with anti-inflammatory and cholesterol metabolism regulatory properties, has been shown to influence the maturation and inflammatory functions of DCs. However, its relationship with cholesterol metabolism remains unclear.

Performance study of oil-injection hermetic CO2 scroll compressor for automotive air conditioning system.

An oil-injection CO2 scroll compressor prototype and relative simulation model are developed for automotive Air Conditioning. The effects of oil to refrigerant mass ratio on the compressor performance are studied theoretically and experimentally. The results show that oil-injection is an effective way to improve the volumetric and indicated efficiencies, and reduce discharge temperature.

Background: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is associated with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), but the existence of NPC protective antibody against EBV-associated antigens remains inconclusive.

Methods: NPC cases and matched controls were identified from prospective cohorts comprising 75,481 participants in southern China. ELISA and conditional logistic regression were applied to assess effects of gp42-IgG on NPC.
