Cholesterol aggregation in dendritic cells (DCs) triggers an inflammatory response and accelerates the development of atherosclerosis (AS). Resveratrol (RES), a natural compound with anti-inflammatory and cholesterol metabolism regulatory properties, has been shown to influence the maturation and inflammatory functions of DCs. However, its relationship with cholesterol metabolism remains unclear.

These pathognomonic deposits have been implicated in the pathogenesis, although the molecular mechanisms and consequences remain undetermined. UFM1 is an important, but understudied ubiquitin-like protein that is covalently attached to substrates.

The effects of oil to refrigerant mass ratio on the compressor performance are studied theoretically and experimentally. The results show that oil-injection is an effective way to improve the volumetric and indicated efficiencies, and reduce discharge temperature.

Methods: This study examines the correlation between cerebrovascular diseases and AD pathology.
Background: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is associated with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), but the existence of NPC protective antibody against EBV-associated antigens remains inconclusive.
Methods: NPC cases and matched controls were identified from prospective cohorts comprising 75,481 participants in southern China. ELISA and conditional logistic regression were applied to assess effects of gp42-IgG on NPC.
