Objective: The authors sought to evaluate the role of nutritional indices such as Onodera's prognostic nutrition index (PNI), World Health Organization (WHO)-based anthropometric measurements such as weight for age (w/a), height for age, weight for height, and perioperative serum albumin levels in the determination of postoperative clinical outcomes in pediatric patients who undergo surgery for congenital cardiac defects and surgical complexity (risk-adjusted congenital heart surgery score) and its correlation with postoperative course.
Material And Methods: In this prospective observational study, 108 post-pediatric cardiac surgery patients under the age of 18 months were enrolled between January 2023 and August 2023. Through receiver operating characteristic curve analysis we have found the cutoff value for PNI is ≤66.
Background: Limited research exists regarding the genetic profile, clinical characteristics, and outcomes of refractory rickets in children from India.
Methods: Patients with refractory rickets aged ≤ 18 years were enrolled. Data regarding clinical features, etiology, genotype-phenotype correlation, and estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) were recorded.

Hypertension is a growing concern worldwide, with increasing prevalence rates in both children and adults. Most cases of hypertension are multifactorial, with various genetic, environmental, socioeconomic, and lifestyle influences. However, monogenic hypertension, a blanket term for a group of rare of hypertensive disorders, is caused by single-gene mutations that are typically inherited in an autosomal dominant fashion, and ultimately disrupt normal blood pressure regulation in the kidney or adrenal gland.

This cohort-based policy approach eventually aims to phase out tobacco use. This paper defines TFG, reviews its international developments and explores the feasibility of the TFG policy approach in India, considering the country's federal governance structure with health as a state responsibility, within a national policy framework.

The resultant complexes were investigated for their magnetic properties in order to elucidate the impact of modification of the coordinating P-O bond environment either by increasing steric bulk and/or introduction of a third P-N bond at the central phosphorus atom. Magnetic studies revealed substantial energy barriers (U) of 640 K and 491 K for Dy compounds 1 and 2, respectively, rendering them as some of the best-performing air-stable SIMs amongst the class of SIMs with D symmetry.
