Three-dimensional assessment of temporomandibular joint changes following maxillomandibular advancement surgery: a five-year follow-up study.

This study aimed to evaluate changes of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) following maxillomandibular advancement surgery (MMA), long-term postoperative skeletal relapse, and progressive condylar resorption (PCR) development. Preoperative and postoperative cone beam computed tomography(2 weeks, 5 years) of 50 patients (33 female, 17 male; mean age 25.6 years) were assessed three-dimensionally.

Ringer's lactate administered at 15 °C leads to a greater and more prolonged increase in blood pressure compared to 37 °C.

18 Participants were randomized to receive 30 ml/kg bodyweight Ringer's Lactate at 37° or 15 °C over 30 min. In a second session, participants were crossed over. Over a 120 min period after starting the fluid bolus we measured mean arterial pressure (MAP), cardiac output, systemic vascular resistance, and catecholamine levels.

Occupational and Health-Related Risk Factors for Incident and Recurrent Back Disorders in Danish Fishers-A Register-Based Study.

Background: Fishers are at risk of back disorders due to their physically demanding work. The aim was to investigate risk factors for back disorders in fishers in Denmark.

Methods: All male Danish registered fishers between 1994 and 2017 were included.

Portosystemic Hepatic Encephalopathy Scores (PHES) differ between Danish and German healthy populations despite their geographical and cultural similarities.

Minimal hepatic encephalopathy (MHE) is common in liver cirrhosis and is identified by psychometric tests. The portosystemic hepatic encephalopathy score (PHES) is the most widely used and serves as an inter-study comparator. PHES has not been standardised for use in the Danish population, where German normal values have been applied until now based on the notion that the populations are comparable.

Early vestibular rehabilitation training of peripheral acute vestibular syndrome-a systematic review and meta-analysis.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the impact of early vestibular rehabilitation training combined with corticosteroids initiated within 2 weeks, compared with corticosteroid treatment, after the peripheral acute vestibular syndrome (pAVS) onset.
