Nuclear basket proteins regulate the distribution and mobility of nuclear pore complexes in budding yeast.

Nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) mediate all traffic between the nucleus and the cytoplasm and are among the most stable protein assemblies in cells. Budding yeast cells carry two variants of NPCs which differ in the presence or absence of the nuclear basket proteins Mlp1, Mlp2, and Pml39. The binding of these basket proteins occurs very late in NPC assembly and Mlp-positive NPCs are excluded from the region of the nuclear envelope that borders the nucleolus.

Objectives: In the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), conventional therapies can lead to severe side effects and drug resistance. There is a need for alternative treatments that do not cause treatment resistance and have minimal or no side effects. Sonodynamic therapy (SDT), due to its noninvasive, multiple repeatability, localized treatment feature and do not cause treatment resistance, emerges as an alternative treatment option.

Assessment of apical extrusion in regenerative endodontics: a comparative study of different irrigation methods using three-dimensional immature tooth models.

To investigate the apical extrusion of sodium hypochlorite in immature permanent teeth caused by conventional syringe irrigation (CSI), EDDY, XP-endo Finisher file (XP-F), and a new laser irrigation activation system [shock-wave-enhanced-emission-photo-acoustic-streaming (SWEEPS)]. Three-dimensionally printed forty-nine teeth with immature central incisor morphology were randomly assigned to seven experimental groups, based on the irrigation activation methods and insertion depths (1 mm and 2 mm short of the working length) as follows: CSI-1, CSI-2, EDDY-1, EDDY-2, XP-1, XP-2, and SWEEPS. Prior to the irrigation activation process, samples were placed in metacresol mixed agar gel in Eppendorf tubes.

Osseoscopy-assisted core decompression and debridement in the treatment of avascular necrosis of the femoral head.

Core decompression of the femoral head is a standard surgical procedure used in the early stages of the femoral head avascular necrosis (AVN) (Steinberg I to III). This study aimed to determine whether the advantages of osseoscopy-assisted core decompression using a standard arthroscopic set up in the early stages of AVN of the femoral head. Twelve hips of 12 patients who underwent osseoscopy-assisted core decompression and debridement with the diagnosis of AVN of the femoral head were reviewed between 2019 and 2021.

Effects of maternal anxiety and sociodemographic factors on fluoride knowledge and opinions about fluoride-containing oral products. A cross-sectional study.

Aim: To assess the relationship between maternal anxiety and so- cioeconomic status, focusing on mothers' knowledge of fluoride and their views on fluoride-containing oral products.

Methods: In a cross-sectional study design involving 224 mother- child pairs, mothers' socioeconomic status, level of knowledge on fluoride, and perspectives on fluoride toothpaste and topical fluoride gel/varnish were assessed through self-administered questionnaires. Maternal anxiety levels were measured using the Spielberg State-Trait Anxiety Inventory.
