Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and follow-up results of the percutaneous treatment of cystic echinococcosis (CE) patients with giant hepatic cysts (at least one diameter > 10 cm).

Methods: Between January 2013 and 2018, 31 CE patients with 34 giant cysts classified as CE1 or CE3a (Gharbi type 1 or 2) according to the World Health Organization criteria and treated with the catheterization technique were analyzed retrospectively.

Results: Thirty-four giant hepatic cysts were treated using the catheterization technique.

Background: The purpose of this systematic review was to accurately assess the procedural success of ridge preservation technique through the application of strict inclusion and exclusion criteria.

Data Sources: A methodical search of PubMed of the US National Library of Medicine and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials was conducted for applicable articles. Only randomized controlled trials comparing ridge preservation treatment with a nongrafting control, ten-subject minimum sample size, and three or more months of follow-up were included in our study.

Objective: Informed consent is a term based on the idea that every individual has the right to know every medical intervention that is going to be performed on their own body and to learn the issues that she/he may encounter in case of refusal of intervention, and it also defines the protection of personal rights under the guarantee of law.

Material And Methods: The website of Turkish Surgical Association and 25 different websites of surgical associations were evaluated according to general surgery association guide, which was published by the Turkish Surgical Association in 2011.

Results: Four websites of those surveyed include informed consent sections and these were evaluated.
