This study proposes a direct synthesis-based two-degree-of-freedom (2-DOF) controller for various types of integrating processes with time delays. This 2-DOF controller includes a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller to enhance load disturbance rejection performance and a set-point filter to improve servo response performance. The main PID controller parameters are expressed as process model parameters and a single adjustment variable, while the set-point filter is composed of PID controller parameters with weighted factors.

This study evaluated the setting time, pH, calcium ion release, solubility, and chemical structure of four calcium silicate sealers after ultrasonic activation (UA). Five sealers were evaluated: Sealer Plus (SP - control); Sealer Plus BC (SPBC), Bio C Sealers (BCS), Endosequence BC Sealer (EBC), and BioRoot RCS (BR). Ten groups were created based on the use or not of ultrasonic activation: SP; SP/UA; SPBC; SPBC/UA; BCS; BCS/UA; EBC; EBC/UA; BR; and BR/UA.

Background: Literature showed that learners' perceived usability and perspective toward a technology application affected their learning experience. Fewer studies have investigated immersive virtual reality (IVR) simulation learning of fundamental nursing skills learning (FNSL).

Purpose: The aim of the study was to explore the perceived usability of IVR simulations for FNSL among first-year nursing students and their perspectives toward this learning modality.

Distance education supports lifelong learning and empowers individuals in rapidly changing societal conditions, yet it encounters high dropout rates due to a range of individual and societal obstacles. This study addresses the challenge of creating a practical prediction model by analyzing extensive real-world time-point data from a well-established online university in Seoul. Covering 144,540 instances from 2018 to 2022, the study integrates diverse datasets to compare the accuracy of models based on longitudinal, semester-wise, and gender-specific datasets.
