Cleavage of biological mRNA by DNAzymes (Dz) has been proposed as a variation of oligonucleotide gene therapy (OGT). The design of Dz-based OGT agents includes computational prediction of two RNA-binding arms with low affinity (melting temperatures (T ) close to the reaction temperature of 37 °C) to avoid product inhibition and maintain high specificity. However, RNA cleavage might be limited by the RNA binding step especially if the RNA is folded in secondary structures.

To improve the results of surgical management of postoperative ventral hernias, the authors applied their suggested variant of autodermic plasty of the hernial openings. The method consists in using for the plasty a band or graft of autologous skin armored with a monophilic thread. To reduce lymphorrhea the autodermic graft was covered with a hernial sac on a pedicle.

The dismountable air plethysmoreceptor suggested by the author, in difference from the fixed ones, permits to put it on and take it off the limb under study rapidly and frequently. Due to flexibility of the internal wall of this plethysmoreceptor, it is possible to record the circulation without any preliminary supply of air into the cavity of the plethysmoreceptor.
