Exposure to alcohol during pregnancy produces Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, which in its most severe form is characterized by physical dysmorphology and neurobehavioral alterations. Moderate prenatal alcohol exposure (mPAE) is known to produce deficits in discrimination of spatial locations in adulthood. However, the impact of mPAE on higher-order sensory representations, such as discrimination of perceptually similar stimuli, is currently unknown.

Traditionally, such conditions demand highly invasive surgeries, like open-heart surgery with prolonged cardiopulmonary bypass, increasing the risk of complications and the need for mechanical circulatory support.
Case Presentation: This case report details a management of a 53-year-old with no significant past medical history who presented with a three-month history of progressive exertional dyspnea, mixed aortic valve disease, comprising severe aortic regurgitation and moderate aortic stenosis, in addition to coronary artery disease and left ventricular dysfunction.

Background: Oral anticoagulation (OAC) is a risk factor for intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) which is an important source of disability and mortality. OAC-associated ICH (OAC-ICH) patients have worse outcomes as compared to ICH patients not on OAC, likely because of the associated larger stroke volumes, higher propensity to intraventricular hemorrhage, and a higher risk of rebleeding. Although current guidelines recommend that OAC should be reversed quickly, many health care systems have not developed a process for optimizing that aspect of care.

Tumor biopsies for BC detection are invasive and may not reflect tumor heterogeneity. Liquid biopsies have become relevant because they might overcome these limitations.

Large-scale clinical studies have shown that both SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP-1 RA enhance cardiovascular health. Benefits include reduced cardiovascular disease risk, lower mortality, fewer heart failure hospitalizations (SGLT2 inhibitors), and stroke prevention (GLP-1 RA).
