The study was carried out on 41 male adolescents aged 15-16 years and 73 male adults aged 18-22 years. For assessment of heart rate variability statistical data of variability and spectral analysis of heart rate were estimated.

There were studied 47 male with arterial hypertension and heart failure, by which the HRV was researched. In the group of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM), ischemic heart disease (IHD), arterial hypertension (AH) and heart failure (HF), the heart rate variability (HRV) has been considerably lowered in comparison with the group of patients at which the presence of DM was absent.

Children with left ventricular (LV) ejection fraction (EF) below 30% (n=24) comprised group 1, patients with LVEF 30 - 45% (n=55) - group 2, and patients with LVEF above 45% - group 3. Four group 1 patients had signs of fibroelastosis of the left ventricle, 3 of them were operated before age of 3 months, 1 - at the age of 5 months.
