Behind the Mask of Parkinsonism: A Case Report and Literature Review on Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative condition that typically emerges in adulthood and does not exhibit any familial inheritance pattern. PSP is characterized by gradual stiffness in the central body, an inability to move the gaze upward voluntarily, postural instability, and a decline in cognitive function linked to frontal lobe dysfunction. Clinical assessment reveals a variety of findings, and cases of PSP frequently go unnoticed or are incorrectly diagnosed as other conditions.

[Inclisiran in patients with acute ischemic stroke: first data].

Aim: To evaluate the effect of inclisiran therapy on parameters of lipid metabolism in hospitalized patients with acute ischemic stroke.

Material And Methods: A prospective, observational, non-randomized study was performed. The study included 12 patients with acute ischemic stroke prescribed with a combination lipid-lowering therapy with inclisiran (284 mg as a single dose).

[Reactivating effect of Escherichia coli exometabolites on UV-irradiated cells].

Wild-type and mutant (AB 1157 and K-12) strains of Escherichia coli were shown to synthesize the logarithmic growth phase, exometabolites reactivating UV-irradiated cells of producer strains. The exometabolites of the strain K-12 were of protein nature and had a molecular weight of no more than 10 kDa. The reactivating activity of these exometabolites was inversely related to bacterial survival and slightly increased under the influence of stress factors.

[Protective effect of extracellular protein metabolite of Luteococcus japonicus subsp, casei on cells subjected to heating and UV irradiation].

Extracellular protein metabolite isolated from the culture liquid of Luteococcus japonicus subsp. casei had reactivating and protective effects on UV-irradiated and heated cells. The extracellular metabolite, produced by cells in the logarithmic growth phase, was present in culture liquid in minuscule amounts.
