It typically presents as an asymptomatic, slowly enlarging nodule predominantly on the head, face, or trunk. Despite its benign nature, precise diagnosis is crucial because of its potential to become malignant.

Curvature of Posterior Pole in Eyes with Retinitis Pigmentosa.

: This study aimed to determine whether there is a significant change in eyeball curvature in eyes with retinitis pigmentosa (RP). : The medical records of 35 eyes of 18 patients with RP and age- and axial-length-matched controls were reviewed. The curvature of the posterior pole was determined by approximating a second-order polynomial equation based on the optical coherence tomography (OCT) images.

Exploration of Daptomycin Adsorption by Polymethylmethacrylate Hemofilter In Vitro.

Blood purification therapy with cytokine-adsorbing hemofilters has been used to treat sepsis-associated hypercytokinemia. Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) hemofilters are frequently used for this purpose; however, adsorption and removal of teicoplanin, a therapeutic agent, have been reported. Similar concerns have been shared regarding daptomycin because its structure resembles that of teicoplanin; nevertheless, there have been no reported effects associated with daptomycin in this context.
