Background: This study compares 2 minimally invasive coronary revascularization approaches: robot-assisted multivessel minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass (MIDCAB) and the hybrid approach combining MIDCAB with subsequent percutaneous coronary intervention.

Methods: A retrospective review was conducted on cases of robotic MIDCAB performed at our institution between 2012 and 2022. Two groups of patients were analyzed: the surgery group (undergoing robotic multivessel MIDCAB) and the hybrid group.

Background: Poststroke fatigue affects ≈50% of patients with stroke, causing significant personal, societal, and economic burden. In the FASTER (Fatigue After Stroke Educational Recovery) study, we assessed a group-based educational intervention for poststroke fatigue.

Methods And Results: Two hundred patients with clinically significant fatigue were included and randomized to either a general stroke education control or fatigue management group (FMG) intervention and assessed at baseline, 6 weeks, and 3 months.

Emerging evidence suggests that bi-directional communication and referral pathways, when employed strategically, can lead to favorable health outcomes by connecting patients with complex, multi-faceted health and social needs to appropriate services and resources. However, despite these benefits, patient acceptance of referrals via these pathways remains suboptimal. In this study, we describe individual and clinical factors associated with patient acceptance of these referrals.
