Objectives: We previously reported that CCL17 gene-deficient mice are protected from developing pain-like behaviour and exhibit less disease in destabilization of medial meniscus (DMM)-induced OA, as well as in high-fat diet (HFD)-exacerbated DMM-induced OA. Here, we explored if therapeutic neutralization of CCL17, using increasing doses of a neutralizing monoclonal antibody (mAb), would lead to a dose-dependent benefit in these two models.

Design: DMM-induced OA was initiated in male mice either fed with a control diet (7% fat) or 8 weeks of a 60% HFD, followed by therapeutic intraperitoneal administration (i.

Article Synopsis
  • Biomedicine is moving towards decentralized data collection, which improves reproducibility and collaboration across labs.
  • A study evaluated biocytometry, a method using engineered bioparticles, and found it effective for counting target cells at low concentrations, even with varying user expertise.
  • The findings suggest that biocytometry is a practical option for immunophenotyping, allowing for sensitive and scalable analysis of rare cells in diverse samples without needing advanced training.

Introduction: The INGE-B trial (NCT02894398) aimed to confirm the efficacy and safety data from the PALOMA trials for patients treated first line (1L) with palbociclib (PAL) and letrozole or 1L and later line with PAL and fulvestrant. In addition, so far lacking evidence for efficacy and safety on the combination of PAL with anastrozole, exemestane (1L), or letrozole (later line) was investigated.

Methods: The prospective, multicenter, multicohort phase 2 trial INGE-B enrolled adult patients with locally advanced, inoperable, or metastatic HR+/HER2- breast cancer in Germany.

Tidal flats provide critical habitat for migratory waterbird species; however, populations of migratory waterbirds have significantly declined due to tidal flat loss and degradation caused by human activities, particularly in Asia. Gochang getbol is one of tidal flats located on the southwest coast of South Korea and a center of clam production. Using bird monitoring data collected at five zones (zone1 to zone5) established across Gochang getbol and near coastal area, we examined distribution patterns of migratory bird diversity and conservation-related species along the coast of Gochang getbol.

Article Synopsis
  • * Current research focuses on creating -methyl amides using a method that optimizes atom economy, addressing the challenge posed by the volatile nature of methyl amine.
  • * The study presents an efficient protocol using DABCO/FeO as catalysts, which works well with various acids and achieves high yields (60-99%), while allowing for the FeO catalyst to be reused multiple times.
