Background: The adverse effects of radiotherapy (RT) primarily occur through oxidative stress, and attempts are being made to mitigate these effects. L-Carnitine (L-Car) involved in physiological functions, possesses antioxidant and tissue-protective properties. The goal of this investigation is to appraise the radioprotective efficacy of L-Car supplementation.

Objective: To investigate relationships between spontaneous abortion and complete blood count inflammation markers and their role in predicting spontaneous abortion.

Methods: This study was conducted at Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology between January 2012 and January 2017. A total of 570 participants, 325 diagnosed with spontaneous abortion and 245 control patients who underwent timely births were included into our study.

The Investigation of Symptoms and Diagnoses of Adult-Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder in Women with Iron Deficiency Anemia.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate symptoms and diagnoses of Adult-Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in women with iron deficiency anemia, to evaluate relationship between ADHD with clinical features and to compare with the women without iron deficiency anemia.

Methods: Eighty-three newly diagnosed iron deficiency anemia patients and 70 healthy controls were included in this study. All participants were assessed using a sociodemographic form, Structured Clinical Interview I (SCID-I), Wender Utah Rating Scale (WURS); Moreover, participants having WURS scores 36 and above were also assessed using the Adult ADD/ADHD Evaluation Scale and interviewed according to DSM-5 criteria.

Effect of alpha lipoic acid on smoking-induced skin damage.

Objective: Exposed to cigarette leads to the formation of reactive oxygen species and the generation of bioactive molecules that can damage skin cells. This investigation was carried out to study possible effects of Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) on smoking-induced rat skin injury.
