Several types of myometrial invasion in endometrioid-type endometrial adenocarcinoma (EEC) have been identified: adenomyosis-like changes; adenoma malignum; broad front, single-cell/cell clusters; and the microcystic elongated and fragmented (MELF) pattern. This study aims to investigate the effect of the MELF pattern on recurrence type and survival rate among patients with EEC. We retrospectively reviewed the records of patients diagnosed with EEC over a 10-year period from January 2011 to January 2021.

Article Synopsis
  • The study aimed to assess the effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) on ovarian health in a rat model of ovarian insufficiency induced by cyclophosphamide (CYP).
  • The research involved three rat groups: control, CYP, and CYP+HBO, with significant changes in follicle counts and hormone levels observed after treatment.
  • Results indicated that HBO therapy could help counteract the ovarian damage caused by CYP, potentially offering a new treatment for young females facing ovarian follicle loss during chemotherapy.

In our retrospective cohort study, we aimed to determine the role of endometrial thickness (ET) in isolated male factor infertile women fertilisation/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (IVF/ICSI) fresh embryo cycles. The patients were classified as having an endometrial thickness of <7 mm (: 80), 7-9.9 mm (: 335), 10-14 mm (: 579) and >14 mm (: 50) according to their ETs on the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) day.

Objective: Low pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPP-A) level is associated with adverse perinatal outcomes. The purpose of this study was to evaluate relationship between umbilical cord diameter (UCD), umbilical vein and artery diameters (UVD, UAD), placental thickness, and PAPP-A level at gestational age of between 11 and 14 weeks.

Methods: UCD, UVD, UAD, and placental thickness of 246 women were assessed during ultrasound examination at between 11 and 14 weeks of gestation, as well as measurement of nuchal translucency (NT) and crown-rump length (CRL).
