We also sought to assess the applicability of the scale across three languages: English, Luganda, and Runyankole.
Methods: Patients with epilepsy (N = 626) were recruited at the time of care seeking from Mulago National Referral Hospital (MNRH), Butabika National Referral Mental Hospital (BNRMH), and Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital (MRRH), and were given the English, Runyankole, and Luganda versions of the PIES as a part of a larger interview.
Metabolizable energy (ME) is calculated from digestible energy (DE) using a constant conversion factor of 0.82. Methane and urine energy losses vary across diets and dry matter intake (DMI), suggesting that a static conversion factor fails to describe the biology.

Accelerating declines of an increasing number of animal populations worldwide necessitate methods to reliably and efficiently estimate demographic parameters such as population density and trajectory. Standard methods for estimating demographic parameters from noninvasive genetic samples are inefficient because lower-quality samples cannot be used, and they assume individuals are identified without error. We introduce the genotype spatial partial identity model (gSPIM), which integrates a genetic classification model with a spatial population model to combine both spatial and genetic information, thus reducing genotype uncertainty and increasing the precision of demographic parameter estimates.

The aim of this work was to identify domains that have been reported in prior clinical studies in CPPD, to inform the development of a core set of domains for CPPD studies.
Methods: We performed a scoping literature review for clinical studies in CPPD, searching in Medline (via PubMed), EMBASE, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL) databases; published from January 1, 1946 to January 7, 2020.
Objective: To determine whether physiological, haematological, biochemical or electrolyte variables can predict severe haemorrhage in cats.
Study Design: Randomized crossover study whereby each cat underwent mild and severe haemorrhage, with a 2 month period between events.
