With climate change, the pressure on tree breeding to provide varieties with improved resilience to biotic and abiotic stress is increasing. As such, pest resistance is of high priority but has been neglected in most tree breeding programs, given the complexity of phenotyping for these traits and delays to assess mature trees. Providing the best care for patients dying from cancer of the head and neck is crucial, and their complex, unpredictable needs, particularly at the end of life, mean that they are likely to die in institutional care. To evaluate the care given at the end of life we retrospectively reviewed the case notes of patients who died between 2007 and 2012 in a regional head and neck unit and a specialist palliative care unit (hospice). Introduction: Various presentations of essential palatal myoclonus, a condition characterized by clicking noises and palatal muscle spasm, have been reported in the literature. We are reporting the first case of essential palatal myoclonus following dental treatment.
