Thiol/disulfide-based redox regulation is a key mechanism for modulating protein functions in response to changes in cellular redox status. Two thioredoxin (Trx)-like proteins [atypical Cys His-rich Trx (ACHT) and Trx-like2 (TrxL2)] have been identified as crucial for oxidizing and deactivating several chloroplast enzymes during light-to-dark transitions; however, their roles remain to be fully understood. In this study, we investigated the functions of Trx-like proteins in seed development.

Various anti-adhesion materials are already on the market and have shown efficacy, but dextrin hydrogel spray (AdSpray™), an anti-adhesion material launched in 2017, has not yet been reported in the field of gynecology, although there are papers showing its usefulness in the surgical field such as repeat hepatectomy and ileostomy closure. Thereby, we investigated the postoperative status of AdSpray™ in LM.

Five hundred and fifty-six pregnant women underwent examinations of FS, Nugent score-a Gram-staining scoring system for the diagnosis of bacterial vaginosis (BV)-and conventional bacterial culture between 8 weeks and 12 gestational weeks. Nugent scores of 0-3, 4-6, and ≥7 were found in 469 (84.

This study aimed to clarify the association of mGPS and PNI with the duration of oral anamorelin administration for patients who did not have beneficial effects from anamorelin.
Methods: The attending physician determined the duration of oral anamorelin administration based on discontinuation due to cancer progression, poor efficacy, adverse events, or death.
Purpose: An observational study was conducted to evaluate the pharmacokinetics of venetoclax and its impact on the efficacy and safety for Japanese patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) treated with venetoclax and azacitidine therapy.
Methods: The association between the plasma concentration, after the first cycle of azacitidine and venetoclax therapy, and the efficacy and safety was evaluated in 33 patients with untreated or relapsed/refractory AML.
Results: Full dose of venetoclax was administered to all patients.
Thioredoxin (Trx) is a small redox mediator protein involved in the regulation of various chloroplast functions by modulating the redox state of Trx target proteins in ever-changing light environments. Using reducing equivalents produced by the photosynthetic electron transport chain, Trx reduces the disulfide bonds on target proteins and generally turns on their activities. While the details of the protein-reduction mechanism by Trx have been well investigated, the oxidation mechanism that counteracts it has long been unclear.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to observe the influence of laparoscopic adenomyomectomy on perinatal outcomes.
Materials And Methods: The retrospective cohort study included 43 pregnant cases with adenomyosis who did not undergo laparoscopic surgery before pregnancy (nonsurgery group; 26 cases) and did (surgery group; 17 cases). To evaluate the impact of surgery on perinatal outcomes, nine obstetric complications including preterm delivery, hypertensive disorder of pregnancy, placental malposition, oligohydramnios, gestational diabetes mellitus, uterine rupture, abruptio placentae, and postpartum hemorrhage were selected.
LM1010 HPLC is an emerging automated method designed for use in clinical settings. The aim of this study was to compare the analytical performance of LM1010 with the performance of traditional HPLC and LC-MS/MS in the measurement of plasma concentrations of imatinib. Seventy-eight plasma samples from 20 patients (14 men and 6 women) were collected.

In this prospective study, uterine endometrial specimens were obtained from 24 women with RIF, 27 with RPL, and 29 fertile control women. Immunohistochemical staining of CD138 for CE and 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) sequencing analysis for uterine endometrium microbiota were performed simultaneously.

The serum levels of anti-β2GPI/HLA-DR antibody (normal < 73.3 U) were determined in 224 women with infertility.

Objectives: Prepregnancy myomectomy is effective for the treatment of infertility or prevention of obstetric complications and is usually performed with laparoscopy. However, pregnancies following myomectomy have risks of obstetric complications, especially in cases with uterine cavity breaches, but the evidence remains unclear. We investigated how uterine cavity breach in laparoscopic myomectomy influenced the occurrence of obstetric complications.

Ultrafine bubbles (UFBs) in water provide a large amount of gas and a large gas-liquid interfacial area, and can release energy through their collapse. Such features may promote ice nucleation. Here, we examined the nucleation of ice in solutions containing polyphenols and UFBs.

Though RPOC is commonly treated by intrauterine curettage or hysteroscopic resection uterine artery embolization or hysterectomy may be performed in case of massive bleeding. We experienced two cases of RPOC after surgery for missed abortion that failed to respond to conservative treatment and required surgical treatment.

Methods: A total of 208 pregnant women with a history of endometriosis were analyzed. Patients who had endometriomas >3 cm and no history of laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis were defined as non-surgery group ( = 60), while those who had a history of surgery for endometriosis ( = 148) were defined as surgery group.
Human neuraminidase 1 (NEU1) is a lysosomal glycosidase that cleaves the terminal sialic acids of sialylglycoconjugates. NEU1 is biosynthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) lumen as an -glycosylated protein. NEU1 also associates with cathepsin A (CTSA) in ER, migrates to lysosomes, and exerts catalytic activity.
