Background: Very few literatures can be found reporting cases and treatment strategies of late-onset mesh infection after abdominal incisional hernia reconstruction. Here, we report a rare case of delayed mesh infection developed 10 years after abdominal incisional hernia repair, which was successfully treated by mesh removal and reconstruction with posterior components separation technique.
Case Presentation: A 66-year-old man, who underwent reconstruction of abdominal incisional hernia by retroperitoneal Composix mesh application 10 years prior, developed 12 × 6.
The pancreas is an uncommon site of metastasis from renal cell carcinoma. We herein present the case of a 59-year-old woman in whom pancreatic metastasis from renal cell carcinoma, found 13 years after undergoing a nephrectomy, was successfully resected and who has since showed no evidence of recurrence or metastasis. The efficacy of performing a pancreatectomy for metastatic renal cell carcinoma is also presented.

We reevaluated our current surveillance protocol which involves the intensive follow-up of 643 patients with stage I disease. With the exception of one case of bone metastasis, all cases of recurrence (97%) were suspected from abnormal results detected during surveillance involving physical examination, serial determination of tumor markers, and chest roentgenography.
