Purpose: The potential of UV-mediated photofunctionalization to enhance the resin-based luting agent bonding performance to aged materials was investigated.

Methods: Sixty samples of each material were prepared. Yttria-stabilized zirconia (YZr) and Pd-Au alloy (Pd-Au) plates were fabricated and sandblasted.

The molecular mechanism of curcumin in macrophage polarization remains unknown in renal failure. We examined, whether curcumin treatment is associated with the modulation of renal function and macrophage phenotype switch in daunorubicin (DNR) induced nephrotoxicity model. Sprague-Dawley rats were treated with a cumulative dose of 9mg/kg DNR (i.

Inflammation and oxidative stress play important roles in the progression of renal damage. The natural polyphenol naringenin is known to exert potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. In this study, we have investigated the effect of naringenin on kidney dysfunction, fibrosis, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, angiotensin II type I receptor (AT1R) expression and inflammation in daunorubicin (DNR) induced nephrotoxicity model.

Polyphenolic compound tannic acid, which is mainly found in grapes and green tea, is a potent antioxidant with anticarcinogenic activities. In this present study, we hypothesized that tannic acid could inhibit nuclear factor (NF)κB signaling and inflammation in atopic dermatitis (AD) NC/Nga mice. We have analyzed the effects of tannic acid on dermatitis severity, histopathology and expression of inflammatory signaling proteins in house dust mite extract induced AD mouse skin.

Crown dimensions of the maxillary molars were measured in the koala (Phascolarctos cinereus). There were no significant differences in crown diameters between the first and second molars, however the fourth molars were reduced in all crown diameters. The third molar was smaller than the first or second molars in buccolingual crown diameters but there were no significant differences in mesiodistal crown diameters.

Detailed observation of the structure of filiform papillae (FP) and microvasculature of those papillae in Japanese Azuma mole were described. In the anterior and medial regions, FP was cylinder in shape with two processes. In the posterior region, it had a long, sharp conical shape.
