Sheep was one of the first domesticated animals in Neolithic West Eurasia. The zooarchaeological record suggests that domestication first took place in Southwest Asia, although much remains unresolved about the precise location(s) and timing(s) of earliest domestication, or the post-domestication history of sheep. Here, we present 24 new partial sheep paleogenomes, including a 13,000-year-old Epipaleolithic Central Anatolian wild sheep, as well as 14 domestic sheep from Neolithic Anatolia, two from Neolithic Iran, two from Neolithic Iberia, three from Neolithic France, and one each from Late Neolithic/Bronze Age Baltic and South Russia, in addition to five present-day Central Anatolian Mouflons and two present-day Cyprian Mouflons.

This study focuses on understanding the impact of different material compositions and printing parameters on the structural integrity of hybrid curved composite beams. Using the continuous filament fabrication technique, which is an advanced fused deposition modelling process, composite curved beams made of short carbon and various continuous fibre-reinforced nylon laminae were fabricated and subjected to four-point bending tests to assess their delamination characteristics. The results show that the presence of five flat zones in the curved region of a curved beam achieves 10% and 6% increases in maximum load and delamination strength, respectively, against a smooth curved region.

Lignocellulosic bioplastics were produced using four different green wastes: hemp, parsley stem, pineapple leaves and walnut shell. Two different solutions were used to dissolve the green wastes: trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) and pure water. The changes in their natural structures and the solvent effect during the regeneration in biofilm formation were investigated by using Synchrotron FTIR Microspectroscopy (SR-µFTIR).

Rapid genome sequencing (RGS) offers a timely and cost-effective approach to diagnosis, aiding in early clinical management and reducing unnecessary interventions. This pilot study represents the inaugural use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) as a diagnostic instrument for critically ill neonatal and pediatric ICU patients in a Turkish hospital setting.

Methods: Retrospectively, 14 IFIOL and 15 SSFIOL reimplantations for dislocated PCIOLs were analyzed. Mean follow-up of reIFIOL group and reSSFIOL group: 11.
The aim of this study is to evaluate the expressions of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1), V-domain Ig suppressor of T-cell activation (VISTA), lymphocyte activation gene-3 (LAG-3), and galectin-3 (GAL-3), in mismatch repair-deficient (MMRd)/MMR-proficient and abnormal p53 expressing endometrial carcinomas and their relationship with clinical-histopathological features. Patients who underwent surgery for endometrial carcinoma between January 2008 and December 2018 were included in the study. Immunohistochemical analysis of MLH1, PMS2, MSH2, MSH6, p53, PD-L1, VISTA, LAG-3, and GAL-3 was performed on the tissue samples of microarray.

In this regard, we prepared RNA encapsulated nanoliposome functionalized with a specific SARS-CoV-2 Spike-S1 protein as a SARS-CoV-2 model. Then, this new nanoliposome mimicking SARS-CoV-2 was used as the bio-recognizing agent of an immunosensor developed to detect the SARS-CoV-2 within the scope of the study.

Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the results and efficiency of two real-time polymerase chain reaction procedures for detecting human papillomavirus utilizing urine samples.
Methods: This study comprised 151 patients who had previously tested positive for human papillomavirus in their cervical samples. Two different commercial real-time polymerase chain reaction techniques were used for identification and genotyping human papillomavirus in urine specimens.
Objective: Histopathological examination of the effects of Tisseel, Cova, Glubran and Coseal, which are used for sealing purposes in spinal surgery practice, on epidural fibrosis is aimed.
Methods: Forty Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups in our study as Group 1 (n=8) control group (Laminectomy); Group 2 (n=8) Cova group (Laminectomy + Cova); Group 3 (n=8) Tissel group (Laminectomy + Tisseel); Group 4 (n=8) Coseal group (Laminectomy + Coseal); and Group 5 Glubrane group (Laminectomy + Glubrane). Control group was only applied laminectomy.

Objective: Amidst the evident challenges posed by brain tumors and the evident limitations of conventional treatment methodologies like surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy, our primary objective was to probe the therapeutic potential of high-intensity therapeutic ultrasound (HITU). The aim was to introduce a safer, cost-effective, and efficient alternative to existing treatments, especially beneficial for inaccessible brain tumor sites and resource-constrained medical facilities.
Materials And Methods: Leveraging post-1990s MR technology advancements, we employed the non-invasive HITU technique, akin to high-intensity focused ultrasound.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of using an inferior or superior conjunctival autograft in primary pterygium surgery on the postoperative ocular surface.
Materials And Methods: Forty eyes of 40 patients who underwent pterygium surgery with autograft were included in the study. Cytological cell counts were performed on samples taken from the bulbar conjunctiva by impression cytology before and 1 year after the operation.

This study aims to investigate the Interleukin (IL)-6 rs1800795 and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARA) rs4253778 polymorphism distributions in the relatively faster and slower subgroups of national cross-country skiing athletes and to identify advantageous genotypes for endurance performance. IL-6 is an inflammatory mediator that is effective in muscle tissue hypertrophy, repair, and the immune system. On the other hand, PPARA transcription factor is a molecule associated with fatty acid, sugar metabolism and inflammation formation.

The objective of this study is to show the applicability of various 3D-printed composite curved beams using continuous fibers and their delamination strength when they are subjected to bending loading. Four-point bending tests are configured for comparative research on evaluating the effect of fiber types on the delamination strength and failure mode. Out-of-plane tensile properties are calculated analytically by using experimental data.

The aim here is to investigate the JAK2 allele burden of the patients diagnosed with the subgroups of MPN and to demonstrate the alterations of hematological parameters and spleen size between diagnosis and 6 months of treatment.
Methods: A total of 107 patients with the diagnosis of MPN and negative Philadelphia chromosome, 51 males and 56 females with a mean age of 59,74 ± 16,41 years, were included in the study.
Purpose: This study aimed to compare the effects of early cord clamping (ECC), delayed cord clamping (DCC), and umbilical cord milking (MC) on maternal and neonatal outcomes in elective cesarean births.
Methods: We analyzed 204 women with uncomplicated at-term singleton pregnancies, who underwent cesarean birth under regional anesthesia between March and July 2021. The women were randomized into three groups: DCC (clamped 60 s postpartum), ECC (clamped within 15 s postpartum), or MC (clamped after milking five times) group.
This study examines the impact of three factors on the tensile and compressive behaviour of 3D-printed parts: (1) the addition of short carbon fibres to the nylon filament used for 3D printing, (2) the infill pattern, and (3) the speed at which the materials are strained during testing. The results show that adding carbon fibres to the nylon filament reduces variability between tests and emphasises the effect of print orientation. When the infill pattern is aligned with the direction of loading, the tensile strength of all samples increases, with the largest increase of 100% observed in the carbon fibre-reinforced samples, compared to a 37% increase in the strength of nylon samples.
