Post-operative tension adjustment-A simple technical modification in mid-urethral slings (MUS) for stress urinary incontinence (SUI).

Introduction: Mid-urethral sling (MUS) surgeries have revolutionized the management of stress urinary incontinence (SUI). However, MUS is a delicate balance of tension on the mid urethral segment with a 12 % risk of failure to achieve complete continence; and up-to 20 % chance of post-operative voiding dysfunction. We propose a simple technical modification in which the long ends of the tape at suprapubic or groin area are not cut immediately and are covered with a sterile dressing.

Improvement of pelvic floor-related quality of life and sexual function after vaginal mesh implantation for cystocele: primary endpoint of a prospective multicentre trial.

Purpose: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) impairs quality of life (QoL) due to vaginal bulge symptoms and changes in bladder/bowel and sexual function. The effect of alloplastic meshes on QoL is still being discussed. The purpose of this study was to prospectively evaluate the effect of mesh implantation on QoL and sexual function over 1 year.

Correlation between clinical presentation and urodynamic findings in women attending urogynecology clinic.

Introduction: Urodynamic studies objectively observe lower urinary tract function and dysfunction so that an appropriate treatment can be planned. In the present study, we tried to evaluate the role of urodynamic studies in the final diagnosis and management plan in patients attending an urogynecology clinic.
