Tracking westerly wind directions over Europe since the middle Holocene.

The variability of the northern westerlies has been considered as one of the key elements for modern and past climate evolution. Their multiscale behavior and underlying control mechanisms, however, are incompletely understood, owing to the complex dynamics of Atlantic sea-level pressures. Here, we present a multi-annually resolved record of the westerly drift over the past 6,500 years from northern Italy.

Evidence for solar cycles in a late Holocene speleothem record from Dongge Cave, China.

The association between solar activity and Asian monsoon (AM) remains unclear. Here we evaluate the possible connection between them based on a precisely-dated, high-resolution speleothem oxygen isotope record from Dongge Cave, southwest China during the past 4.2 thousand years (ka).

[Rare blood group B (A) detection and safe transfusion].

This study was aimed to investigate the genetic characteristics, identification method and transfusion strategy of rare blood type B(A). The rare blood group B(A) was typed by serological technique, PCR-SSP genotyping and sequencing of exon 6, 7 of ABO blood group. The genetic characteristics and molecular mechanism of B(A) blood group were also analyzed.

[Serologic and molecular biological detection of rare B(A) blood group].

This study was aimed to investigate one case with rare type B(A) in ABO blood group by using serological and molecular biological methods, and analyze the cause of inconsistency resulting from multiple detections. The serological method was used to identify the serum type of ABO blood group, at the same time the PCR sequencing method was used to detect the genotypes. The results indicated that the group typing and reverse typing for the blood donor were inconsistent, the group typing was AB, the reverse typing was B.

[Serologic characteristics and population distribution of subtypes B2 and AB2 of ABO blood group].

This study was aimed to investigate the serologic characteristics, genetic background and population distribution of B2 and AB2 subtype in Chinese ABO blood group. The classic blood group serological technology was used to detect ABO blood group of the propositus and their family members, the anti-B1 serum prepared by yourself was used to investigate the distribution of B1/B2 and AB1/AB2 subtype of the blood donor. The results indicated that the antigen of propositus was AB2 subtype and that of his child was B2 subtype.
