This research seeks to explore the influence of ERS-nucleotide-bound oligomerized domain-like receptor protein 3 (NLRP3) signaling on mice's depressive-like behaviors and cognitive impairment.
Design And Method: We carried out a study on 32 male C57BL/6J mice to investigate how chronic unpredictable mild stress (CUMS) can give rise to depressive-like behaviors and cognitive dysfunction, randomly dividing them into control, model, inhibitor, and agonist groups.
Background: The gut microbiome plays a key role in the formation of livestock and poultry traits via serum metabolites, and empirical evidence has indicated these traits are sex-linked.
Methods: We examined 106 chickens (54 male chickens and 52 female chickens) and analyzed cecal content samples and serum samples by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and non-targeted metabolomics, respectively.
Results: The cecal microbiome of female chickens was more stable and more complex than that of the male chickens.

In this study, synthesis of acetylene black oxide (ACETO) through simple air annealing was successful in introducing oxygen-containing groups and defects, which can act as active sites for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and exhibit excellent catalytic activity. By introducing the two-electron (2e) ORR into the cathode ECL system of luminol, integration of ACETO and luminol allows for in situ generation of dissolved oxygen into reactive oxygen species (ROS), thereby enhancing the ECL intensity of luminol.
