Cushing's Syndrome in Pregnancy Secondary to Adrenocortical Adenoma: A Case Series and Review.

Purpose: To present a case series of Cushing's syndrome (CS) during pregnancy caused by adrenocortical adenomas, highlighting clinical features, hormonal assessments and outcomes.

Methods: We describe five pregnant women with CS, detailing clinical presentations and laboratory findings.

Results: Common clinical features included a full moon face, buffalo back and severe hypertension.

Aim: Preeclampsia (PE) is a pregnancy-specific syndrome characterized by hypertension and proteinuria. Highly Site-Selective Oxidative Cyclization of Ene-ynamides via Non-Noble-Metal Catalysis: Access to Functionalized Lactams.

Herein, an unprecedented non-noble-metal-catalyzed oxidation/cyclization of ene-ynamides is developed, allowing the synthesis of diversely functionalized lactams in moderate to good yields with excellent diastereoselectivities without the observation of typical cyclopropanation products. In combination with Ellman's -butylsulfinimine chemistry, chiral γ-lactams containing three contiguous stereocenters are obtained with high diastereo- and enantioselectivity. Moreover, density functional theory (DFT) calculations indicate that this protocol probably undergoes a carbon cation or proton transfer process.

Identifying the focuses of hereditary gingival fibromatosis with bioinformatics strategies.

Objective: The objective of this study was to detect the undiscovered bioinformatics information about hereditary gingival fibromatosis and find focuses from published datasets.

Methods: Two published datasets containing gingival tissue expression profiles of HGF and healthy groups were collected from GEO database. GSE4250 was utilized for cardinality analysis, including the differentially expressed gene analysis, enrichment analyses, hierarchical clustering analysis, and protein-protein interaction network.
