Background: A new "terrible triad" has been reported to be an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear with a concomitant medial meniscus ramp tear and lateral meniscus root tear. Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) for isolated ACL reconstruction (ACLR) versus an ACLR with concomitant medial meniscus ramp and lateral meniscus root repairs are not well known.

Here, I discuss data sharing and re-use as a moral imperative for research that uses animals in neuroscience. I argue that we are ethically required to make sure that we gain as much knowledge as possible from the animals we use, and that doing so involves making sure that the data from our experiment makes it into the public record of knowledge. I suggest several ways in which journals, grant bodies and policymakers can contribute to making data sharing and re-use mainstream practices.

The dopaminergic system of the brain is involved in complex cognitive functioning and undergoes extensive reorganization during development. Yet, these changes are poorly characterized. The rapid growth of marine industries has emphasized the focus on environmental impacts for all industries, as well as the influence of key environmental parameters on, for instance, offshore wind or aquaculture performance, animal welfare and structural integrity of different constructions. Development of automatized sensors together with efficient communication and information systems will enhance surveillance and monitoring of environmental processes and impact. The murine basal ganglia regions are targets for research into complex brain functions such as motor control and habit formation. However, there are several ways to name and annotate these regions, posing challenges for interpretation and comparison of data across studies. Here, we give an overview of basal ganglia terms and boundaries in the literature and reference atlases, and describe the criteria used for annotating these regions in the Waxholm Space rat brain atlas.

Tires are a major source of synthetic and natural rubber particles, metals and organic compounds, in which several compounds are linked to negative environmental impact. Recent advances in material technology, coupled with focus on sustainability, have introduced a new range of tires, sold as "green, sustainable, and eco-friendly". Although these "green" tires may have lower impact on the environment on a global scale, there is no current knowledge about the chemical composition of "green" tires, and whether they are more eco-friendly when considering the release of tire wear particles or tire-associated chemicals.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with a significant clinical, economic, and human burden. The JAK1 Atopic Dermatitis Efficacy and Safety (JADE) program's Phase 3 trials demonstrated that as a treatment for moderate-to-severe AD in adults with previous exposure to immunotherapy, abrocitinib showed superior efficacy and safety compared with standard of care (SoC), consisting of topical corticosteroids. This study assessed the cost-effectiveness of abrocitinib with SoC versus SoC alone for this patient population in Japan from a societal perspective.

Purpose: Initially, prostate cancer responds to hormone therapy, but eventually resistance develops. Beta emitter-based prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA)-targeted radionuclide therapy is approved for the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. Material extrusion Additive Manufacturing (AM), is one of the most widely practiced methods of AM. Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) is what most associate with AM, as it is relatively inexpensive, and highly accessible, involving feeding plastic filament into a hot-end that melts and extrudes from a nozzle as the toolhead moves along the toolpath. The objective of this study was to examine the psychometric properties of the Adolescent Motor Competence Questionnaire (AMCQ) for Norwegian adolescents. To this end, a sample of 349 Norwegian-speaking adolescents (13-16 years old) were recruited and completed the AMCQ. Initial results showed that confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) did not indicate statistical support for previous statistical models reported in the literature.

Background: Epileptic seizures are an established comorbidity of Alzheimer's disease (AD). Subclinical epileptiform activity (SEA) as detected by 24-h electroencephalography (EEG) or magneto-encephalography (MEG) has been reported in temporal regions of clinically diagnosed AD patients. Although epileptic activity in AD probably arises in the mesial temporal lobe, electrical activity within this region might not propagate to EEG scalp electrodes and could remain undetected by standard EEG.
