In this paper, an automated feature selection (FS) method is presented to optimize machine learning (ML) models' performances, enhancing early keratoconus screening. A total of 448 parameters were analyzed from a dataset comprising 3162 observations sourced from the swept source optical coherence tomography imaging system developed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Automation (SS-1000 CASIA OCT) and electronic health records (EHR). To identify the most relevant features, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) method was used in this study.

Its pathophysiology involves an interaction between genetic and environmental factors, resulting in different reproductive and metabolic subtypes. Genetic variation in the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) gene has been implicated in the pathophysiology of the syndrome.

Sixteen Muslim elite players fasting during Ramadan underwent assessments before (BR), during (DR), and after Ramadan (AR). Soccer-specific technical performance was evaluated using the Loughborough Soccer Shooting Test (LSST) before and after a 5-metre shuttle run test (5mSRT), conducted at the same time-of-day (17:00 h).

Centered on self-determination theory, the present cross-sectional study aims to identify gender differences and predictors affecting motivation, psychological needs satisfaction (PNS), and academic achievement during PE online learning. Data were collected from Saudi students' (N = 308, 161 females and 147 males) responses to the PE autonomy, relatedness, competence, and motivation questionnaires.

The present study aims to identify the effect of a structure-based program intervention, combining motor accuracy exercises with visual art activities (ceramics, pottery, and creations using raw materials), on fine motor coordination, selective attention, and reaction time in middle childhood. Sixty, right-handed typically developed male schoolchildren (age = 8.

Many frameworks based on the acoustic analysis of speech signals have been created in recent years; however, they are evaluated on just one or two corpora and are not independent to voice illnesses and human bias. In this article, a unified wavelet-based paradigm for evaluating voice diseases is presented.

The purpose of this study is to identify risk factors, indications and complications of hemostasis hysterectomy and to determine factors influencing the types of approaches to hysterectomy.
Methods: we conducted a monocentric descriptive and analytical retrospective study in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Regional Hospital of Ben Arous from 2003 to 2019.
Structuring warm-up (WU) in hot climate conditions before high-intensity efforts is still drawing the attention of researchers and practitioners. The present study investigates the effect of two WU durations (i.e.

This study investigated the effects of progressive task difficulty manipulation (TD), combined with varying knowledge of results frequencies (KR) on performance accuracy and consistency when learning novel fine motor coordination tasks, and examined relationships between novel fine motor task performance and executive function (EF), working memory (WM), and perceived difficulty (PD). Thirty-six, right-handed, novice physical-education students (age = 10.

A proposed face recognition system was developed to be used for different purposes. We used Gabor wavelet transform for feature extraction of symmetry face training data, and then, we used the deep learning method for recognition.

However, the spectrum of BRCA mutations remains little explored in Tunisian patients in particular in the southern region.
Methods: We sequenced the entire coding regions of BRCA1and BRCA2 genes using next generation sequencing (NGS) in 134 selected patients with BC and/or OC.
Background: This study addressed the lack of data on the effect of warm-up (WU) duration in hot-dry climate (~ 30 °C; ~ 18% RH), on thermoregulation, muscular power-output, and fatigue after specific soccer repeated-sprint test (RSA).
Methods: Eleven amateur soccer players participated in a cross-over randomized study and they underwent the Bangsbo repeated-sprint test, after three WU durations (i.e.

Visceral congestion and edema are important features of advanced heart failure. Monitoring the evolution of fluid content in the gastric wall might provide an index of the development of this phenomenon and therefore constitute an innovative marker to early detect acute decompensated heart failure episodes. The evolution of the fluid content in the gastric wall is measured using a device implanted in the submucosa layer of the fundic region of the stomach.

This work is devoted to the synthesis of sugar esters by the esterification reaction of sugar with mixed carboxylicpalmitic anhydrides using resin Amberlyst-15 as heterogeneous acid catalyst. These anhydrides should be stable and react as acylating agents.

Heart sound analysis is commonly used by physicians during auscultations to evaluate cardiac activity as a first line. These sounds originate from heartbeats and the resulting blood flow, and can provide important information about heart function and hemodynamics. The monitoring of heart sounds in patients suffering from chronic cardiac pathologies can be useful to detect or prevent cardiac events.

The purpose of our work was to assess the impact of the intensity of pain and those characteristics on anxiety, depression state and quality of life of cancer patients.
Material And Methods: This is an analytical cross-sectional study including 106 cancer patients with pain.
While augmented feedback (AF) is widely acknowledged to affect motor learning, the effects of mode of feedback on motor learning acquisition, retention, and perceived competence has rarely been studied. The present investigation analyzes the effects of verbal, haptic, and combined (verbal and haptic) feedback when learning a novel gymnastic parallel bars task. Forty-eight physical education students and four expert gymnastics teachers participated in the study.

Material And Methods: We have carried out a systematic search of literature from MEDLINE, EMBASE and Cochrane Library database to identify articles related to the comparison of stent versus colostomy published between 2000 and 2016.
Purpose: We report in this study, the dosimetric and carcinologic results of intensity-modulated technique for the reirradiation of nasopharyngeal carcinomas.
Patients And Methods: Eight patients reirradiated with intensity-modulation technique between January 2015 and December 2017 were included. We noted for each patient: the minimum, maximum and average doses, the dose received by 95% (D95%), 98% (D98%) and 2% (D2%) of the volume to be irradiated, the homogeneity and conformity indices and doses to the organs at risk.
