Objective: Placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) is a term used to describe trophoblast invasion into the uterine wall. The condition can be FATAL: at labor due to a lack of spontaneous separation of the placenta from the uterine wall, leading to severe hemorrhage. In this study, we aim to evaluate preoperative risk factors for unplanned immediate hysterectomy in PAS uterine-preserving surgeries.

Study Design: A retrospective cohort study conducted at a single tertiary center between March 2011 and January 2022. We compared women with a history of PAS who had uterine preservation surgery and a subsequent pregnancy, to a control group matched in a 1:5 ratio.
Purpose: Pregnancies complicated by placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) are associated with severe maternal morbidities. The aim of this study is to describe the neonatal outcomes in pregnancies complicated with PAS compared with pregnancies not complicated by PAS.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study conducted at a single tertiary center between 03/2011 and 01/2022, comparing women with PAS who underwent cesarean delivery (CD) to a matched control group of women without PAS who underwent CD.

Objectives: The objectives of this study were to determine in a population-based cohort study the association between cesarean section (CS) during the second stage of labor and the risk for preterm birth and/or cervical insufficiency in the subsequent pregnancy; to identify maternal and neonatal risk factors for long-term complications following CS due to prolonged second stage of labor.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective population-based cohort study including women who had at least one consecutive delivery following a CS at our institution from 1991 to 2018, provided that the first delivery was at term. We divided the study cohort into two groups: (1) women who delivered by CS due to failure to progress during the first stage of labor ( = 1068); and (2) those who delivered by CS due to arrest of descent at the second stage of labor ( = 603).

Objectives: General gynecologists are often the first to face a newly diagnosed adnexal mass. Bothering mass symptoms, fertility issues, and the effect of a possible surgical intervention on fertility in term of mechanical factor and ovarian follicular reserve are all considerations that should be accounted for. This study summarizes and compares five different adnexal mass management guidelines, enabling clinicians to peruse consensus and controversy issues, thus choosing the optimal management method.

Methods: Laboratory results and obstetrical outcomes of women with singleton gestations, admitted for delivery during the COVID-19 mask-wearing period (April-June 2020) were compared with those of women delivering during the parallel period in 2019 and with a larger cohort derived from nine pre-pandemic years (March 2011-April 2020).
Results: Overall, 1838 women delivered during the COVID-19 pandemic.
