In diabetes and its associated pathologies, glycation, α-amylase, and α-glucosidase play crucial roles. This study introduces a novel tripeptide, RWW, designed to target glycation and key enzymes in diabetes management. Using in silico methods, RWW was optimized to interact with the glycation-prone Human serum albumin (HSA) sites, as well as inhibit α-amylase and α-glucosidase.

Antibiotic resistance is currently becoming a more serious threat to global health, especially in severe nosocomial infections treatment by multidrug-resistant bacteria. This research provides a new way of synergizing green-synthesis for zinc oxide quantum dots (ZnO-QDs with hexagonal crystals) that are 7 nm in diameter and zero-valent Ag cubic crystals that are 67 nm in size embedded with nitazoxanide substrate (NAZ). Instrumental characterization like SEM, TEM, EDAX, and FT-IR and comprehensive antimicrobial studies were conducted to study the incorporation behavior of composites based on Ag NPs/ZnO QDs/NAZ.

Article Synopsis
  • The research aims to transform daily waste from Hail city into useful petroleum additives, specifically corrosion inhibitors and flow improvers from PET plastic waste.
  • The production process involves using a solvent-free method to create a multifunctional corrosion inhibitor called PETAA, which is effective for protecting carbon steel in seawater environments.
  • Results indicate that the inhibitor demonstrates a high efficiency of 97% at optimal concentrations while its effectiveness decreases with increased temperature, showcasing promising applications in the petroleum industry.

Rapid growth of nanotechnology has accelerated immense possibility of engineered nanomaterials (ENMs) exposure by human and living organisms. In this context, wide range applications of graphene based nanomaterials (GBNMs) may inevitably cause their release into the environment. Consequently, potential risks to the ecological system and human health is consistently increasing due to the probable ingestion of GBNMs by mean of contaminated water or food sources.

Purpose: DNA damage is a continuous process occurring within the cells caused by intrinsic and extrinsic factors, but it gets repaired regularly. If the DNA repair process is faulty, the incidences of damages/mutations can accumulate in cells resulting in cell transformation. It is hypothesized that the negative variations in DNA repair pathways in even at one point viz.
