- A study involving 73 patients evaluated the effectiveness of the TORe procedure combined with standard nutrition/behavioral management versus standard management alone. Results showed participants who underwent TORe had significantly higher excess weight loss at 12 months (13.5% vs. -0.77%).

- Out of 124 patients treated, significant improvements were observed, including a reduction in bleeding (from 7 to 3 on a scale of 10) and prolapse (from grade 3 to 2), with over 91% willing to undergo the procedure again.
- While there was a recurrence rate of 21.5% after 22 months, the overall satisfaction was high, and the procedure resulted in low pain and minimal downtime.
Background And Objectives: For the treatment of pancreatic duct stenosis due to chronic pancreatitis (CP) or postoperative (PO) stenosis, endoscopic procedures are usually the first choice. In cases of failure of the recommended treatment by ERCP, anastomosis between the Wirsung duct and the stomach or duodenum can be performed under EUS guidance.
