The slow fluorescence induction parameter FM/FT was measured for green leaves from maple trees grown in the park, depending on the distance (5-65 m) between the tree and the highway cross. We concluded that the decrease in the value of FM/FT for trees grown in the vicinity of the road cross was caused by exhaust gases.

Long-term results were analyzed in 300 patients operated upon. The cause of the formation of false aneurysms in the area of an anastomosis at later terms after operation was in most cases the partial prosthetic detachment due to cutting or resorption of sutures, inflammatory destruction in the area of anastomosis.

All the patients developed isolated stenosis of the pulmonary artery. It is emphasized that an early postoperative period in relevant correction proceeds with diastolic impairments.

They have developed original methods for the treatment of varicose dilatation of subcutaneous veins: endovascular and ++perivascular electrocoagulation of subcutaneous veins, removal and crossing of subcutaneous and communicant ++ veins with vein extractor and capron fish line; liquidation of venous conglomerates by means of a submerged removable suture; ++supra-fascial crossing of subcutaneous veins. Employment of these methods in combination with the traditional treatment modalities yields a good therapeutic and cosmetic effect.

The clinico-immuno-microbiological study of 24 patients with congenital heart diseases was made. Clinically, the patients were subdivided into two groups: 8 patients with diagnosed bacterial endocarditis (BE) prior to the operation and 16 patients without BE. The analysis of the results of investigation carried out prior to the operation showed that age, the form of the disease and its duration did not affect the level of anti-infectious resistance factors (AIRF): in both groups a decrease in the level of AIRF characteristics (cell-mediated and humoral) was noted and no characteristic differences were determined.
