  • The concept of concussion as solely a reversible injury is outdated; it may cause lasting structural changes in the brain and should be addressed as synonymous with mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI).
  • Forensic physicians focus on diagnosing mTBI, its severity, and understanding how the injury occurred, often consulting neurologists for clarity on the diagnosis.
  • Research indicates that the average recovery period for mTBI in people aged 20-65 is now about 39 days, with recovery time increasing with age, and post-concussion syndrome is a common complication.

These reports contained absolutely opposite findings, both in terms of the findings themselves and their resulting interpretations. Since it is still not yet known exactly what happened in the plane, a reconstruction was carried out in an identical aircraft in the Aviation Museum in Kunovice.
