Aim: The aim of the present study was to characterize the pharmacokinetic profile of corifollitropin alfa and examine the relationships between dose, intrinsic factors [body weight, body mass index (BMI), age and race] and corifollitropin alfa pharmacokinetics.
Methods: Data from five phase II and III clinical trials of corifollitropin alfa were evaluated. All subjects included in the analysis received 60 - 180 μg corifollitropin alfa for controlled ovarian stimulation in a gonadotrophin-releasing hormone antagonist protocol followed by daily recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (rFSH) from day 8 onwards.
Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder that affects approximately 2-3% of the population worldwide and has severe effects on patients' physical and psychological well-being. The discovery that psoriasis is an immune-mediated disease has led to more targeted, effective therapies; recent advances have focused on the interleukin (IL)-12/23p40 subunit shared by IL-12 and IL-23. Evidence suggests that specific inhibition of IL-23 would result in improvement in psoriasis.
