Dataset yielded by an assessment of personality disorders among young French adults using the Inventory of Personality Organization.

Data on personality disorders in young French adults were collected using the validated French version of the Inventory of Personality Organization (IPO-fr). Respondents also completed the Personality Diagnostic Questionnaire-4th Edition (PDQ-4+). The sample comprised 607 students aged 18-26 years enrolled on a variety of courses at Angers University (France).

Acceptance of Self-Sampling by Women Not Regularly Participating in Cervical Cancer Screening in Areas with Low Medical Density: A Qualitative Study within the French CapU4 Trial.

Cervical cancer (CC) was diagnosed in 3159 women in France in 2023, and 1117 died from it. Organized screening for cervical cancer is potentially very effective for participating women. However, reaching under-screened populations remains a major challenge.

French version of the Inventory of Personality Organization (IPO-fr): psychometric properties in young adults.

Background: The Inventory of Personality Organization (IPO) is a self-assessment instrument designed to measure the level of personality organization. In the present study, we developed and validated a French version (IPO-fr) of this instrument in a population of young adults. Its validity was established on the basis of two studies examining (1) its internal structure, and (2) its convergent validity with the Personality Diagnostic Questionnaire-4+, the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS), the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), and the Aggression Questionnaire (AQ).

Acceptability to Healthcare Professionals of Home-Based HPV Self-Sampling for Cervical Screening: A French Qualitative Study Conducted in an Area with Low Access to Health Services.

Self-sampling may improve participation in cervical cancer secondary prevention programs by women who do not respond or respond irregularly when invited to contact a health professional for the collection of a cervical specimen. It could also help resolve access problems in areas with a low physician density. The present qualitative study examined barriers to screening, effective screening strategies, and the advantages and disadvantages of sending women urine or vaginal self-sampling kits in two medically underserved administrative departments in France (Mayenne and Sarthe) showing low cervical screening coverage.

Study Protocol: Randomised Controlled Trial Assessing the Efficacy of Strategies Involving Self-Sampling in Cervical Cancer Screening.

The cervical cancer screening coverage remains moderate (60%) in France. The aim of the study is to evaluate the efficacy of two experimental invitation strategies (offer of urine or vaginal self-sampling kits) to reach under-screened populations and compare them with the current invitation strategy in rural departments (low medical density and low participation rate) in France. The study is a randomised controlled trial with three arms: a control arm (conventional invitation letter) and two experimental arms (mailing of a urine or vaginal self-sampling kit).

Claude Balier's narcissistic theory of ageing may be one of the pillars of French psycho-gerontology, but it is certainly not set in stone. On closer inspection, instead of being just minor variations on the same theme, the three stages of its development are structured around different references and make different assumptions. Some even contradict each other.

[The sexualisation of the care relationship by the patient in gerontology].

The expression of the sexuality of the ageing patient in the care setting, particularly when it concerns the genital area and involves the caregiver without he or she being aware, constitutes a critical situation for the geriatric teams. A psychodynamic reading of these situations is important for the caregiving teams in order to optimise the somatic treatment and to prevent the risk of an unsuitable reactive treatment. This article presents a clinical case as an example.
