Uterine fibroids are the most common benign gynecologic tumors in women of reproductive age, and ultrasound is the first-line imaging modality for their diagnosis and characterization. The International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics developed a system for describing and classifying uterine fibroids uniformly and consistently. An accurate description of fibroids in the ultrasound report is essential for planning surgical treatment and preventing complications.

Metabolic syndrome occurs in ∼ 43% of women with PCOS, and NAFLD is the hepatic expression of MetS.
Methods: One hundred women, 50 with PCOS and 50 controls, matched by age (18-35 years) and body mass index (BMI) were included, restricted to patients with overweight and obesity grade 1, at the Assis Chateaubrian Maternity School, Universidade Federal do Ceará, Brazil.
Background: We aimed to assess the sensibility, specificity, and predictive values of cytology of the fluid sediment in patients with pelvic endometriosis diagnosed based on laparoscopic-guided biopsy.
Methods: Between January 2017 and September 2018, 71 specimens of peritoneal fluid collected by laparoscopy were evaluated. Fifty-three patients were diagnosed laparoscopically and histologically with endometriosis, and 18 were considered controls (without suspicious endometriosis lesions).

Objective: The purpose of this study was to further understand interrelationships between insulin resistance in PCOS and elevated diastolic blood pressure.
Design: A prospective case control study.
Participants: Fifty normal women and 43 PCOS patients, 16 of them with insulin resistance.

Considering that published studies have demonstrated the effects of manual acupuncture (MA) and electroacupuncture (EA) in attenuating the oxidative stress in different tissues and organs, this study aimed to investigate the possible protective effects of MA and EA in randomized skin flaps in rats.
Methods: Thirty-two rats were subjected to dorsal skin flap (8 × 2.
