The syndrome has been described in the setting of autoimmune disorders, medication toxicities, genetic disorders, infectious etiologies, and in rare cases, neoplastic processes. Case Presentation: Case report of a 56-year-old male with glioblastoma multiforme who developed mild painless blurred vision after systemic treatment with the investigational EGFR inhibitor ABT-414. The patient had best corrected visual acuity of 20/60 right eye and 20/50 left eye.
Varied injuries may manifest clinically as acute liver failure. The pathologic features include variable amounts of necrosis and regeneration. This article reviews pathologic classification of patterns of necrosis and associated inflammatory and regenerative responses in specimens from patients with acute liver failure.
