The de Winter electrocardiogram (ECG) pattern, marked by upsloping ST depression in leads V2-V6, ST elevation in lead aVR, and tall symmetric T waves, typically indicates left anterior descending artery (LAD) occlusion. Traditionally linked to LAD occlusion, it is rare in severe aortic stenosis and the Bezold-Jarisch reflex (BJR). We report an 83-year-old man with severe aortic stenosis who developed hypotension due to bleeding and exhibited the de Winter ECG pattern.

Echocardiography has traditionally been employed as the primary mode of imaging; however, with the advent of cardiac magnetic resonance as a more precise imaging technique, the disorder known as left ventricle non compaction is becoming more broadly defined with increasing recognition of right ventricle (RV) involvement.
Case Presentation: This report describes a 52-year-old Caucasian female with new onset atrial fibrillation with an unusual finding of left ventricular non compaction and right ventricular dysfunction on transthoracic echocardiogram with preserved left ventricular ejection fraction.
Background: Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) using long-term ventricular assist devices (VADs) is an established therapy in select patients with advanced heart failure. Studies have suggested that outcomes after VAD implantation may be dependent on institutional procedural volume, and outcome data from non-transplant centres are lacking. This study reviews the outcomes of patients who received a long-term VAD at our centre to determine if these devices can be safely implanted at tertiary care, low-volume, non-transplant centres.

Background: The presence of EBV has been established in Hodgkin lymphoma (HL), endemic Burkitt Lymphoma and some non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL). It has been linked to geographic, ethnic and socioeconomic factors, with a lower rate in developed countries.
