On which evidence can we rely when prescribing off-label methotrexate in dermatological practice? - a systematic review with GRADE approach.

If an authorized drug is prescribed for a use that is not described in the Summary of Product Characteristics, this is defined as 'off-label use.' Methotrexate is often used off-label for dermatological indications. Off-label use is permitted if physicians can justify the treatment based on scientific evidence available to them.

Towards More Shared Decision Making in Dermatology: Develop-ment of Evidence-based Decision Cards for Psoriasis and Atopic Eczema Treatments.

In shared decision making (SDM) patients and physi-cians make treatment decisions together based on the best available evidence and the values and preferences of patients. SDM is very suitable for use in dermatological practice, but is infrequently applied by dermatologists. To support the application of SDM in dermatology we developed Decision Cards: 1-page overviews of possible treatment options, for use during a patient-physician consultation.

Genetic divergence across habitats in the widespread coral Seriatopora hystrix and its associated Symbiodinium.

Background: Coral reefs are hotspots of biodiversity, yet processes of diversification in these ecosystems are poorly understood. The environmental heterogeneity of coral reef environments could be an important contributor to diversification, however, evidence supporting ecological speciation in corals is sparse. Here, we present data from a widespread coral species that reveals a strong association of host and symbiont lineages with specific habitats, consistent with distinct, sympatric gene pools that are maintained through ecologically-based selection.
