Efficacy Evaluation of a Cosmetic Product for the Periocular Area in Caucasian Women Aged Over 40 Years Old.

Purpose: The present study was aimed at evaluating the efficacy of a cosmetic product in improving the appearance of periocular skin.

Patients And Methods: An open-label study on 40 female subjects showing clinical signs of skin aging in the periocular area (including bags under the eye and dark circles) was conducted. At day 0 and day 28 the bags under eye volume, dark circles color, skin texture, skin moisturization, skin elasticity, and skin radiance were measured.

Magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound ablation in abdominal moving organs: a feasibility study in selected cases of pancreatic and liver cancer.

Purpose: This study was designed to evaluate preliminarily the feasibility and safety of magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound (MRgFUS) for treatment of solid tumors in the upper abdomen.

Methods: We enrolled one patient with hepatocellular carcinoma and two patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma for MRgFUS ablation. Treatments were performed on a 3T scanner under controlled respiration.

From dorzolamide 2%/timolol 0.5% to brinzolamide 1%/timolol 0.5% fixed combination: a 6-month, multicenter, open-label tolerability switch study.

Purpose: To assess ocular surface status and tolerability after switching glaucoma patients from dorzolamide/timolol to brinzolamide/timolol fixed combination (FC).

Methods: Six-month, multicenter, open-label, prospective study that switched 72 patients from dorzolamide/timolol to brinzolamide/timolol FC. Intraocular pressure (IOP), tear film break-up-time (TF-BUT), fluorescein staining and Glaucoma Symptom Scale (GSS) questionnaire were recorded at baseline and after 6 months.
