Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is an RNA virus spread via droplets. Children are predominately affected, with a significant burden in the under 1s. The burden of disease across both children and adults and management is rarely reported.

Menigococcal infection is caused by a Gram negative diplococci. Invasive meningococcal disease (IMD) is caused by 6 capsular groups. The spectrum of infection is broad, with meningitis and meningococcal sepsis associated with a case fatality of between 4 and 20%.
